Feel Rite Fresh Markets Presents: What does Quercetin do?

You may have noticed that Natural Factors Quercetin is 30% off this month at Feel Rite. This is a great time to stock up! But, for those of you who don’t know what Quercetin is, or what it does – let’s break it down.

Quercetin falls under the category of flavonoids. Flavonoids are compunds found naturally in fruits, vegetables, and certain plant products (like wine and chocolate, yum!). Various flavonoids (especially Quercetin) help boos antioxidant activity and potentially decrease the risks from certain health conditions.

Flavonoids may aid in the prevention of cancer and heart disease (especially in women)². Quercetin specifially, is proven to reduce inflammation, prevent accumulation of uric acid (think gout), positively influence cardiovascular health, and aid in lowering blood pressure¹. It won’t take place of eating healthy and exercise, but supplementing can help!

Remember, this is not medical advice. This is only information about flavonoids & Quercetin. Before you start or stop any medications or supplements, you should always consult your physician.
